2014 year in review
2014 was an amazing year! we are so blessed to have spent such great time with family & friends, go on trips and finally, the highlight of our year - finding out we were going to have our first baby!
JANUARY 2014 | VAIL, COLORADO
the end of january, we went to vail with some of our dearest friends, michael & christy and their sweet daughter, harper! we had an absolute blast relaxing in the mountains and getting to ski for a week! check out our highlight video of the week here!
FEBRUARY 2014 | FREDERICK, OKLAHOMA
one of our new favorite traditions is the frederick oyster fry! this marked our second year making the drive to southern oklahoma for the amazingly delicious fried oysters! we always eat so much and it's always so worth it! check out the deliciousness here from our video in 2013!

two of my goals were fulfilled this month as i was featured on two of my most favorite blogs: style me pretty living & the little umbrella! the smp living featured our girls retreat styled shoot i helped plan and on the little umbrella, my nephew, henry's 1st birthday party was featured! i feel beyond blessed to be on these websites and still have to pinch myself that it happened!
MARCH 2014 | NORMAN, OKLAHOMA
the ou football team hosted a women's tee clinic at the stadium in march and me and my female co-workers got to go behind the scenes all day! that meant getting to hang out with bob stoops & blake bell and i even kicked (and made!!) 2 field goals - even michael hunnicutt was pretty impressed with my skills!

in march, another career goal of mine was fulfilled: i had a product that was sold in a store! our recipe cards that we featured in the girls weekend styled shoot were sold at the florist + home store, dutch, in oklahoma city! a dream come true!
APRIL 2014 | OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA
aric ran his first half marathon in oklahoma: the oklahoma city memorial! he did such an amazing job and i'm always so impressed by his ability to compete! it was a hot hot morning, but he finished at 1:34:10, before it got too unbearable to run! perhaps cohen and i can join him in the 5k this year!
MAY 2014 | NORMAN, OKLAHOMA
may was by far the most exciting month this year: we found out we were having a baby! we were over the moon and immediately started planning for this precious life we were going to bring into the world in january!
JUNE 2014 | DENVER, COLORADO
we went back to colorado in june for one of our dear friend's wedding and got to spend time with both our families and see friends! one of the highlight's of this trip was getting to tell aric's brother he was going to be an uncle and aunt b & uncle jeff that we were pregnant! i am so glad we were able to do that in person - their reactions were priceless! another highlight of this trip was serendipitously meeting hilary clinton at the tattered cover book store!
BETHANY, OKLAHOMA
june was a big month for weddings! we also celebrated my little cousin's marriage to her sweet fiancé, ryan!
JULY 2014 | NORMAN, OKLAHOMA
july marked another hot month in oklahoma and we spent the majority of it outside and in the pool! fireworks, grilling and being pregnant with my best friends & sister pretty much summed up the entire summer!
AUGUST 2014 | OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA
on august 6, i turned 30! holy cow - 30 years old! how did that happen? we celebrated with family and close friends on the rooftop of packards in oklahoma city! it was an absolute blast and i feel so blessed to have such amazing people in my life to celebrate with!
DOGGIE SWIM DAY
one of finley's favorite things to do at the end of the summer is the doggie swim day at westwood pool! i think she would play in the pool all day long if she had her way! meanwhile, kaia just toodles around making new friends!

SEPTEMBER 2014 | NORMAN, OKLAHOMA
in september, my sweet sister and bestest friends threw me the most gorgeous baby shower for baby cohen! it was filled with my favorite things and i felt so overwhelmed with love and happiness, it was almost more than i could stand!
OCTOBER 2014 | DALLAS, TEXAS
in october, we ventured down to dallas for the annual ou-texas football game at the cotton bowl! it was definitely a different weekend for me being pregnant, but still tons of fun! the weather was actually cold this year and we won! two great things that can happen during ou-tx!
NOVEMBER 2014 | NORMAN, OKLAHOMA
on november 5 at 5:57 am, i became an aunt again to my precious niece: monroe scarlett carter! she is so perfect, little and oh so sweet! i got to spend the day with henry and take him up to the hospital to meet his little sister! it was the first time i had ever seen a baby so fresh (30 minutes after birth) and being 2 months away from giving birth myself, i was overwhelmed with emotions! it was such an amazing moment to be apart of! welcome to the world sweet girl!

CRAZY OKLAHOMA WEATHER
we also had some crazy fall & winter-like weather in november! here are the girls at the park just a couple of days apart! one day, it's a beautiful fall afternoon and the next, a blistering snowy cold day!

something i did not expect to come out of the girls weekend styled shoot that i was a part of was being featured in PRINT - in an actual MAGAZINE! whoa - this is seriously a dream come true! my business, work and photo were in print for all the world to see!
DECEMBER 2014 | NORMAN
we spent this holiday season in norman, due to me not being able to travel so close to my delivery date. christmas is one of our favorite holidays and we love being able to decorate the house, watch christmas movies and spend time with our friends & family! it was also a time of making sure we get everything ready for mr. cohen jennings to come into the world!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HENRY!
the beginning of decemeber, we celebrated my precious nephew's 2nd birthday - complete with a mickey mouse themed party! where did the time go and how is he already 2? it feels just like yesterday he was born! even sweet miss monroe dressed up in her minnie mouse best for her big brother!
