a wild things first birthday party
before my nephew henry, was born, my sister knew she wanted to have a "where the wild things are" first birthday party! this was such an amazing + fun party to plan and design for. we went all out with paper, food, dessert + activities!
we had scratch cater the party and had all sorts of delicious food like pancetta "max" and cheese, pigs in a blanket (with local, oklahoma buffalo), hummus & pita and monster munch trail mix! for our sweet treats, amy cakes made the incredible 3 tiered cake and the adorable monster cupcakes, as well as henry's "1" smash cake! not only were they gorgeous, they tasted incredible!
the activities included coloring characters from the "where the wilds things are" book and an indoor petting zoo! it was so cute to watch the little kids with the sweet animals! we also set up a photo booth station with fun props for guests to take photos of themselves!
we presented the favors in a kraft chevron paper sack and guests took home "o henry" chocolate bars! they also got to take home pictures from the photo booth!
