a rustic + elegant wedding invitation suite

these wedding invitations were designed for a rustic, elegant barn wedding in oklahoma that will be held this month. the design features simple flower elements, a gorgeous script type, and a wood plank background.

the flowers were incorporated in all of the paper pieces, as well as the couple's wedding color: tiffany blue.

congrats macey and travis!

an elegant + simple note card

remember when i got to design this gorgeous family's new year's card? well my sweet friend ashley got me another gig with kyle; this time designing her personal stationery! wow! this was such a fun job! kyle's only request was that it was elegant and incorporated gold & lavender. her name was typed in a beautiful script set in gold and the back was left very simple with the touch of lavender. happy writing!

a flowery bridal shower invitation

when i was asked to design these bridal shower invitations, there was no specific theme other than i should incorporate the bride & groom's wedding colors: white, gold, touches of purple + pink and greenery. i thought designing the bride's new last name initial in a greenery and floral motif was going to be perfect! so much so that the hostesses incorporated that into the decor of the party! the scallop edge adds a fancy feel to these classic and whimsical invites!

a dapper note card for a baby boy

a new mom (of now 3!) contacted me, wanting stationery for her newborn son. i was thrilled about this project since we have a little boy and i happen to love stationery! she wanted to incorporate silver somewhere in the design, so we put his name and "oh boy!" in a silver foil effect - which is a cost effective way to design if you can't do foil-pressed.

a simple little bowtie graphic was added to the front and the back of the cards, making this dapper design oh so cute!

these clean and chic note cards will be the perfect way she can write a thank you note for all those sweet baby boy gifts!

a one is fun first birthday bash!

this first birthday bash was near and dear to my heart! the honoree was for my son, cohen! of course i started thinking about his party soon after he was born, wondering what theme we should have, where we should have it, etc. i knew it had to be perfect! throughout his first year, i realized i didn't want it to be themed - i just wanted it to be a fun party, filled with our family and close friends.

my husband's only request for the invitation was that he wanted a crown on it somewhere. inspired by a shirt from zara that cohen was going to wear to the party, i drew out the same illustration for the invitation and signs. tied with red twine and a circle tag, the invitations were sealed in a plain white envelope with a custom design reply address. 'one is fun!' became a phrase carried out on signs and other materials.

the birthday bash was held at the old flagship harold's clothing store on historic campus corner, across the street from OU. this space is very rustic and masculine - perfect for our little man!

guests enjoyed homemade peppermint oreo bark in white paper cups with custom stickers.

what's a first birthday party without a string of monthly photos? strung on jute twine and red clothespins, these pics perfectly popped against the exposed brick wall!

cohen's smash cake was made with love by one of my best friends and pastry chef, kendall. the amazingly delicious carrot cake was topped with red sprinkles, a crown cut out in the middle and of course a sparkler "1" candle! it meant so much to us that she made this for our little one and on top of that, it was so so so good!

the kid's activity area was bustling with fun! we had sheets of paper to color, a castle and bouncy balls! by the end of the party, there were crushed goldfish and broken crayons everywhere and it was perfect! a sign of a good time, that's for sure!

i was able to reuse some fabulous items from cohen's baby shower that my lovely sister and friends gave me. the tassel garland and the custom "CHJ" cups got a second round of use, which worked out perfect for this party!

the back of the birthday invitation featured a photo of cohen and a red #1 balloon, so i carried out that theme throughout the party.

happy birthday to our sweet and precious cohen!

an astronaut 3rd birthday party

one of my favorite things is helping my sister execute her kiddo's birthday parties! from his where the wild things are 1st birthday to his mickey mouse 2nd party, it's always a blast designing for him! for my nephew's 3rd birthday, he wanted an astronaut party! it was held at the oklahoma science museum and was the perfect setting for the babes!

each food item and beverage were cleverly named: saturn's rings (donuts), rocket fuel (coffee) and rocket dogs (kolaches)! yum!!

how amazing is that moon cake with astronaut mickey on the top? amy cakes always does a fantastic job on the kid's cakes!

favors were moon rocks (pop rocks) and glo sticks, which all the kids LOVED!!

happy happy birthday sweet boy!

a merry first christmas holiday card + birth announcement

i absolutely love this couple! remember their fun save the date, wedding and married first holiday cards? well, julie and brian just had their sweet boy in october and wanted to wrap his birth announcement in with their holiday card! genius! i love the simplicity of this card, highlighting the gorgeous newborn photography! printed on a champagne, pearlescent paper, to create a warm, shimmery look, these cards, i'm sure delighted many family and friends!
