diy stockings!

my favorite time of the year is finally here!! the holiday season! since aric & i are living together now, i thought us and the dogs needed brand new stockings. of course, i didn't want to buy them, so i decided i would make them! and i needed momma t and her fantastic sewing skills to do this!

we found a stocking pattern on marthastewart.com and used that for aric & i's. then we used the same pattern, but made it a bit smaller for finley + kaia's stockings! 

here is mom cutting out our pattern!

voila! 2 stockings ready for the machine! (ps - i chose a red houndstooth fabric for the sock to make it feel more vintage. you will have to see the finished stocking to see the trim fabric!)

here is the sock part finished! check back later this week (hopefully) and you will see all the stockings - on our new mantle!
